Contemporary Simplicity

This four-story modern townhouse was recently completed near downtown Asheville, North Carolina. With stairs and a beautiful maple-walled elevator, this stunning townhouse looks out at the sparkling lights and Appalachian mountains in the distance.

The first floor consists of a large two-car garage, utility closet, and office nook. Take the first flight of stairs and the second floor has a living area, bedroom ensuite, and hallway laundry closet. The third floor has two bedrooms one with an ensuite and one bathroom in the hallway. The fourth floor is the kitchen, dining, and living area with a half bath off the living room. The fourth floor has a walkout partially covered rooftop patio.

The builder decided to make this a vacation-rental-by-owner rather than sell it. Pricelli did not have to design much based on how the space was going to be used. The living area on the second floor has two club chairs, side tables, and a large upholstered sleeper sofa atop an antique Persian rug. A large-screen television is placed on one wall. Each bedroom has a kingsized bed, nightstands, a club chair, and walk-in closet. All bed linens are white Egyptian cotton with high thread-count sheets. All bathrooms have walk-in showers and the hallway bath has a spa tub.

The living, dining, and kitchen area on the fourth-floor feature floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors out to the patio at one end of the room. The other end of the room has a large sectional sofa done in rich light brown leather on which rests an array of velvet pillows in a range of colors and patterns. Modern artwork punctuates the space throughout.
